IAEG Peru is supported by a number of specialized committees aligned with the strategic priorities of the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment. Each one leads national projects and initiatives across Peru and Latin America.
The Communications and Outreach Committee manages IAEG Perú’s institutional identity, official digital channels, and public relations. It produces in coordination with the res of the teams material aimed to give visibility of geological engineering through digital media, professional networking, and public engagement.content and drives digital marketing campaigns for webinars,technical sessions and other events. By bridging the gap between academia, industry, and the public, the committee ensures all initiatives promote technical excellence and maintain strict professional and ethical standards.
This Committee works on developing and promoting scientific contributions to risk reduction and resilience building from a geoethical perspective. Established in 2023, the group brings together professionals and researchers committed to integrating geosciences with ethical, inclusive, and context-sensitive approaches to disaster risk governance.
Promoting ethical and socially responsible practices in engineering geology and geosciences The Geoethics Committee of IAEG Peru is a developing national initiative focused on promoting ethical reflection and responsible practice in engineering geology and the geosciences. It contributes to IAEG’s broader commitment to professional integrity, social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and sustainable development.
